Start the New Year with Christian Parenting

Parents of children of all ages are invited to join Linda Sandlin as she leads us through a six week Biblical study, Christian Parenting. Sign up in the church lobby beginning the first Sunday in January or call the church office for more information. Class will Sunday, January 11 at 8:45am in the Alpha room. There is no charge and childcare will be provided. Study topics such as “Loving Discipline”, “Raising Counter-Cultural Teenagers”, “Modeling self confidence for your child”, “Friendships that benefit parenting”, “Parenting Fear Factors”, and “Parenting Together”.

The Christmas Story, December 21 at 10am

You are invited to share in the telling of the first Christmas Story by Chase Valley children, youth and adults. This story will be presented with joy through drama and music. Join us for this unique worship experience that you will be a part in as our children lead us. Everyone involved in this presentation and offering to God needs to be at the church no later than 9am. Rehersal will be Thursday, December 18 at 7pm.

Food Pantry Need Your Help !!

Last month we had served 199 people with food box. Imagine how many people we can bless for this Thanksgiving if you bought an item every Sunday. Items of this month are cranberry sauce, can milk, can pumpkin, cake mix, gravy mix and instant potato.

Here is a time line of upcoming events that involve folks interested in the November 1st Harvest Hoedown

Sunday, October 26 Send home invites for church family to pass out on Halloween
Sunday, October 26, Continue to sign up to donate food items
Wednesday October 29, Deadline to bring in donated food
Thursday, October 30, 2500 flyers go home in local schools
Saturday, November 1, 2:00pm Outdoor setup

Help is still needed in the games and clean-up. Please call Jean McDaniel at the church office if you can help! Please be in prayer for all those who plan on attending and serving at this outreach!

Financial Peace University

Food Pantry: Items of the month

Our food pantry needs your help !! We serve our hungry community with food boxes twice every month. Imagine how many people we could feed if you bought an item every Sunday. Items of this month are pasta, flour, rice and hamburger helper.

Harvest Outreach Organizational Meeting this Sunday 9/28

Its Fall Y’all! Yesterday, it was official; we can legitimately set out our pumpkins and scarecrows and prepare for our Harvest Outreach. This year at Chase Valley Church, we will hold our Harvest Outreach on Saturday, November 1, from 4pm-8pm. We will invite our congregation to send out an invitation in the buckets and pillow cases of trick- or -treaters the night before on Halloween! 2000 flyers will go out to local schools. So, we need to be ready!

Our organizational meeting will be held this coming Sunday, September 28 immedeately following worship. Lunch and child care will be provided. Please make every effort to attend this meeting. A reminder card will go out to those who have already committed to help but all who are interested are encouraged to come.

Harvest Outreach- Organizational Meeting 9/21

It’s Fall Y’all…today it is official. we have been in “fall mode” for weeks now as we prepare to celebrate the Harvest..the Blessings that flow from God. Our Harvest Outreach will be on November 1, from 4pm-8pm.

Its time to get rolling on the plans and so an organizational meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 21 after worship…this will be a working lunch (which will be provided). Please plan on attending so that our plans can “fall” into place! We need all kinds of servants..those who can serve in advance behind the scenes and those who will serve the day of our event. Mark your calendar and plan on attending this important meeting. Child care will be provided.
