Flint River Baptism

We will have a special celebration of Christian Baptism on Sunday, June 27th at noon.

We will be gathering at the Flint River to share together as brothers and sisters make public their commitment to Jesus Christ and are baptized. This is a great celebration. If you have never been baptized and desire to be baptized please contact Pastor Fred by Sunday, June 20th.

After the baptism we will share in a picnic lunch together at the pavillion at Berry Hill Estates (it’s right by the river). So after church go by and pick up something to eat and come to the river!

Church Lawn

VBS Planning/Organizational Meeting - ALL HANDS ON DECK!

Sunday, May 16 following worship we will be having a VBS Planning/Organizational Meeting following worship service.

It’s planning time again for VBS and this year our format will be completely different! We will have an evening VBS this year so that everyone in church can take part….if you have “HELPING HANDS” and would like to use your gifts to make our VBS hugely successful, plan to be at our organizational meeting this Sunday.

The following are a few of the positions that need to be filled, come to the meeting or call Mrs Jean to learn details about these areas of service:

Game leaders, Craft leaders, Supper preparers and Servers, Photographer, Technical support, Crew leaders, Chadder’s Theater, Decoration team.

We can’t wait to make a big splash with this year’s VBS.

Children’s Garden Planting

CALLING ALL KIDS AND THEIR FAMILIES!

Sunday, April 25 - Following Worship

Help us plant our Children’s Garden. Be sure to bring a change of clothes or wear outside clothes to church! If you can bring a shovel or a rake and some garden gloves, that would be helpful.

If you can help prepare by mixing soil and filling the garden boxes, please contact Mrs. Gloria. We need to borrow wheelbarrows and shovels to prepare the boxes.

DONATIONS NEEDED: shovels, hoes, rakes, pitchforks, wheelbarrows, hoses, tool cabinet, watering cans, tarps (16′x16′), 100′ weed barrier, and SOIL!

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE

On Friday, April 2nd we will observe the Service of Tenebrae (or Shadows). This service will retrace the Stations of the Cross in dramatic readings and end up with the 7 last words of Jesus from the cross. No other service during Lent has the power of the “Shadows” and this is a service you don’t want to miss. The service is at 7 pm.

MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE

On Thursday, April 1st we will have a unique opportunity to worship together with a service of Holy Communion. We will share at the table of the Lord in remembering the Last Supper. The service is at 7pm.

PALM SUNDAY
